There is wonderful detail in the superb box illustration for German toy manufacturers Revell. Depicting an unfolding drama between a mechanic who hastily changes a tyre watched over by an equally impatient driver.Introduced in 1956 the ‘Austin Healey 100 Six’ reached a top speed of 100mph. Accelerating from 0-100mph in just over 10 seconds. Aside from the six-cylinder engine, style features of this classic British sporty car included an oval grille, bulged bonnet with a front air intake, wire-spoke wheels and a fixed windscreen.
